 Description: Austrian born Franz Scherr came to America in 1911, and 25 years later, he started a most unusual tourist attraction, Miami's Parrot Jungle. Parrot Jungle Island is located at 1111 Parrot Jungle Trail, off 395, between downtown Miami and South Beach.
